Gluten free cake recipes are good when someone in the family or at a holiday potluck party is allergic to gluten. These homemade, from scratch cakes, not cupcake, are worthy of a Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas bake sale. You can bake one of these for dessert for a gluten intolerant birthday party. Best Flourless Chocolate Cake Recipe

  • ½ cup water combined with ¼ t salt and ¾ c sugar in a pan
  • 18 best bittersweet chocolate squares
  • 1 cup butter cut in pieces
  • 6 eggs

Stir the salt, sugar and water in the pan until dissolved. Melt the chocolate and the butter together in a pan. When melted beat them together well. Beat in the hot water mix then beat in the eggs, one at a time. Pour the batter into a greased 10” round cake pan then set the entire pan in a larger pan that you fill with boiling water as a water bath that goes ½ way up cakepan sides. Bake the entire thing in a 300 oven for 45 minutes. When cooked the cake center will still look wet then chill the cake pan without the bath in the refrigerator overnight. Take out of pan and serve.

Gluten Free Lemon Cornmeal Cake Recipe

  • 2-2/3 cups lite brown sugar
  • 1 Lb softened butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 1-1/3 cup white cornmeal
  • 5 cups almond meal
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Juice from 6 lemons
  • Zest from 6 lemons
  • ¾ cups bakers sugar

Beat butter and slowly add brown sugar until light. Add eggs beating after each one. Combine almond meal, salt, baking powder, cornmeal, and zest and lightly stir into butter mix. Pour cake mix into a 10” cake pan lined with parchment paper and bake in a 300 oven until a toothpick comes out clean. This will take about 1-1/2 – 2 hrs.

While baking mix lemon juice and bakers sugar and bring to boil and let cook until sugar dissolves. It should be about half of original volume. Let cool slightly so it is thick but viscose. When the cake comes from the oven drizzle this over the top and sides of cake.

Gluten Free Choco Cake Recipe

  • 8 squares best unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 sticks soft butter
  • 1-1/2 cups bakers sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cups unsweetened cocoa

Melt butter and chocolate in a pan then remove form heat and beat in sugar. Add eggs beating after each one. Sprinkle cocoa over chocolate mix and combine. Pour cake mix in 10: springform pan with parchment lining. Bake in 350 oven 35-40 minutes and a thin crust has formed on top. Cook cake then remove sides then bottom. Cool completely and serve.
